Welcome to Winterset Aero Club
We are a small non-profit flying club with a Piper Cherokee based at Winterset, IA 3Y3. Our goal is to keep costs low to make flying affordable and our monthly dues and hourly rates reflect that. We have a new member initiation fee of only $300, dues are only $125/month, and the airplane is available to members for only $50/hour to student pilots, and $30/hour for certificated pilots, all rates are dry without fuel. We also offer an introductory flight of 1 hour for only $80. This is a great way to experience the joys of flying without committing to a membership. Membership is open to both pilots and non-pilots alike, you will be hard pressed to find a more affordable way to fly in central Iowa than the Winterset Aero Club.
